"The Solvay Business School EMP (European Microfinance Programme) is a one-year programme that offers a unique combination of theory and practical knowledge of microfinance. The expertise of academics and experts from three different Universities and a Non-Governmental Organisation enhances the quality and breadth of the programme. The courses cover a diverse array of subjects, from Microfinance Management to Rural Finance and International Aid, also including insights on Monetary Policy and Regulation.

But the added value of the EMP lies in its practical component: the internship allows for a better understanding of the ‘real world’ of microfinance and of microfinance clients. Field trips, technical assistance to the Microfinance Institution, reporting, capacity-building and research are part of the tasks and activities assigned to trainees.
